Two dead following motorcycle crash Sunday in east Fort Worth; police investigating

Police are investigating a collision involving a pickup truck and motorcycle early Sunday morning in east Fort Worth that left two people dead.

The passenger of the motorcycle was confirmed dead at the scene after police arrived at about 12:43 a.m. in the 6000 block of E. Lancaster Avenue, police said. The passenger has not been identified as of Wednesday.

The motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital and died from blunt force injuries less than 12 hours later, according to police. He was identified as Arlington resident Blake Austin Hasty, 33, by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office case records.

A passenger from the pickup truck was also hospitalized in the crash. Authorities did not know the passenger’s condition as of Wednesday.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
