Police search for suspect after 15-year-old shot at west Fort Worth apartments
Police are searching for a suspect after a 15-year-old was shot on Thursday afternoon in west Fort Worth, police said.
At about 1:12 p.m., a group of people were fighting at the Sierra Hermosa apartments in the 3200 block of Las Vegas Trail. Police got a call that someone started shooting and were dispatched to the apartments.
A 15-year-old boy involved in the fight was shot in the lower torso. He was taken to the hospital, and his injuries were not believed to be life threatening, according to Officer Buddy Calzada, a police department spokesman.
As of Thursday afternoon, a suspect was not in custody, Calzada said.
