In city’s second killing in a day, woman stabbed to death in Fort Worth, police say
A 26-year-old man stabbed a woman to death Wednesday afternoon inside a north Fort Worth house, police alleged.
The victim was slain about 4:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of Beaumont Street. She was stabbed in her upper torso and died at the scene, police said.
The Tarrant County Medial Examiner’s Office had not released her name or age.
Police booked Julian Garza Thursday morning at the Fort Worth Jail on suspicion of murder. He was detained Wednesday night at a hospital where he went to receive treatment, police said.
Garza and the victim were staying at the same residence and had no other relationship, police said.
Police did not release what they alleged was Garza’s motive.
The Beaumont Street killing was the second homicide in Fort Worth on Wednesday.
A man shot two women inside of a house in the 900 block of East Davis Avenue early in the day, killing one of them, before shooting himself, police alleged. He died at a hospital.
