Fort Worth police arrest woman accused of shooting into another woman’s vehicle

One woman was arrested by police after a shooting in north Fort Worth early Friday.

Cynthia Ann Perez, 48, was taken into custody and is facing an aggravated assault — family violence charge, according to a police report.

Fort Worth police officers arrived outside a residence in the 2500 block of Northwest 28th Street in response to a shooting call shortly after 1:10 a.m., a police statement said.

After their arrival police saw that a woman had been hit in the arm with a bullet fragment from shots being fired at a vehicle she was in, police said.

The shooting occurred during a domestic dispute, according to police. The suspect was being detained Friday and detectives from the department’s family violence unit were notified, police said.
