Fort Worth woman killed by hit-and-run driver identified by Tarrant County officials

A 54-year-old woman who died after she was struck in a hit-and-run collision on Wednesday has been identified by Tarrant County officials.

Tracey Michelle Brewer, of Fort Worth, was crossing the street in the 5700 block of East Rosedale Street about 9:30 p.m. when she was struck by what police believe was a Chevrolet Silverado, possibly between the model years of 2008 and 2011, outfitted with a lift and large rims.

The truck may have sustained damage to its front right side, police said.

Brewer was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, where she was pronounced dead about 10:05 p.m., according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Brewer died from blunt-force injuries sustained during the hit-and-run collision, according to authorities.

Police have released a blurry photo of the suspect truck on social media and said Friday they have no new information to release concerning this case.

But investigators are asking for the public’s help solving this case.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Fort Worth police at 817-392-4869.
