Woman struck in leg by bullet from passing car in southeast Fort Worth, police say

A woman was struck in the leg by a bullet from a passing car as she walked in southeast Fort Worth early Saturday, police said.

The woman was reportedly transported to a hospital in good condition.

She was walking north on South Riverside Drive a little before 5 a.m., approaching East Mulkey Street, when a black vehicle drove by her, police said. At least one person in the vehicle shot at her.

The caller said a friend was shot at by a passing car, according to a police call log.

Shell casings were found in the street near where the woman was shot, police said.

Detectives are investigating the shooting.
