Fort Worth courthouse fire was arson; two suspects seen running from the building

Two people who authorities believe were involved in setting a fire at a Fort Worth courthouse were recorded on video running from the building.

Fire Department arson investigators have not identified the suspects in the June 1 blaze in an office at the Tarrant County Southwest Courthouse. The fire caused minor damage. No one was injured.

One of the assailants wore a dark Nike sweatshirt on which there was a Texas Christian University logo, the fire department said Saturday.

The fire was set at about 2:30 a.m. in the courthouse at 6551 Granbury Road. It appeared to be in the office of Precinct 6 Constable Jon Siegel, according to KXAS-TV.

The fire department asked that anyone with information that would help arson investigators identify the assailants should call the department at 817-584-9817.
