86-year-old woman shot in the head at her Fort Worth-area home, authorities say
An 86-year-old woman was found shot to death Friday in her Haltom City house, authorities said.
Betty Nickell was slain in the 5100 block of Ira Street, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office said. She had been shot in the head.
Haltom City police had not released information about the killing, including the status of the assailant, Saturday night.
The medical examiner’s office said the time of Nickell’s death was 2:41 a.m.
