Fort Worth man dies at hospital more than a week after being struck in hit-and-run

A 78-year-old man who was struck by a car as he walked last month in Edgecliff Village died Friday at a hospital, authorities said.

The sedan’s driver did not stop after the incident, the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said.

Salvador Melendez Carcamo, of Fort Worth, died Friday. Melendez Carcamo was hit around 10 p.m. March 24, the sheriff’s office said. He was struck in the 6600 block of Village Parkway, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
