10 men allegedly seeking sex with teens in Tarrant County arrested in undercover sting
Ten men have been arrested after sending online messages to undercover law officers whom they believed were children as young as 13, Tarrant County authorities said Tuesday. The men hoped to meet the “children” for sex, police said.
The men’s ages range from 25 to 67, according to court records.
The men were booked into jail on suspicion of online solicitation of a minor, a second-degree felony. Two had been charged as of Tuesday.
The men were in contact with undercover officers in February via “personal advertisements, covert social media and communications platforms,” the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said.
The operation was conducted by the sheriff’s office, Texas Department of Public Safety and the Fort Worth and Arlington police departments.
Arrested were:
- Paul Aceves, 67, of Grand Prairie. Accused of believing he was meeting a 15-year-old girl.
- Yadav Manish, 27, of Fort Worth. Accused of believing he was meeting a 15-year-old girl.
- Ladrick Mackey, 37, of Fort Worth. Accused of believing he was meeting a 15-year-old boy.
- Matthew Wilson, 26, of Arlington. Accused of believing he was meeting a 15-year-old girl.
- Byron Cochran, 43, of Fort Worth. Accused of believing he was meeting a 13-year-old girl.
- Mauro Garcia, 25, of Palestine. Accused of believing he was meeting a 15-year-old girl.
- Christian Boyles, 46, of Austin. Accused of believing he was meeting a 15-year-old girl.
- Scott Fishbein, 42, of Fort Worth. Accused of believing he was meeting a 13-year-old girl.
- Edrees Hmaiden, 39, of Arlington. Accused of believing he was meeting a 15-year-old girl.
