Texas man repeatedly directed wife to video herself sexually abusing children, feds say
A Texas couple has been sentenced to a combined 140 years in federal prison for producing child porn in which they both sexually abused children, authorities said.
Christoper James Regan, 38, of Big Spring, was sentenced on Thursday to 90 years in prison after pleading guilty in October to conspiracy to produce child pornography and two counts of producing child pornography.
His wife, Tanya Marie Regan, 35, of Big Spring, received a sentence of 50 years after her guilty plea in October to conspiracy to produce child pornography and possession of prepubescent child pornography.
Big Spring is about 250 miles west of Fort Worth.
In addition to the prison sentences, the Regans were given lifetime terms of supervised release if they are ever released.
The Regans were sentenced in the Northern District of Texas, which includes Fort Worth.
The pair admitted that at Christopher Regan’s directions, Tanya Regan repeatedly videotaped herself sexually abusing children for Christopher Regan’s sexual gratification, according to federal court documents.
The couple sexually abused and produced child porn of several children, and they possessed and distributed child porn to each other, according to the documents.
The Regans also engaged in graphic discussions about the sexual abuse of children over several online platforms, federal agents said.
Christopher Regan was a former logistics manager.
Several graphic videos had been deleted when federal authorities raided the couple’s Big Spring home, but agents found the videos stored in a recycle bin on various SD cards.
Undeleted videos were stored in a computer folder titled, ”users\tanya_000\pictures\privatevids\minor,” according to court records.
