About 55,000 crimes were reported in 2019 in Fort Worth, including about 11,000 thefts and about 4,800 instances of criminal mischief, according to police department data released by the city and displayed on a Star-Telegram map.

There were about 2,200 residential burglary reports between January and December, the statistics show.

The map displays the number of offenses and their locations with color-coded dots. Clicking a dot reveals information about the crime.

The city does not provide information about sexual assaults.

The map includes filters for different types of crime, and selecting a filter allows users to see only the occurrences of that crime.

Users may also enter an address to see if crimes were reported near them.
