When Fort Worth bank teller hesitated, robber raised hoodie to expose gun, police say
Police have released photographs of an assailant in the robbery earlier this month of a Fort Worth bank.
The Wells Fargo bank in the 1700 block of Eastchase Boulevard was robbed at about 11 a.m. Jan. 6, Fort Worth police said.
The assailant handed the teller a note. When she paused, the robber raised his sweatshirt and exposed the butt end of a pistol. The teller complied with his demands, and the assailant walked or ran from the bank.
He received $2,000 in cash, according to a police report.
The suspect is black, 20 to 25 years old and weighs about 170 pounds, police said. He wore black clothes, including a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt. His gray ball cap has “M” on its front and is possibly the Dallas Mavericks logo.
Before the robbery, the assailant and an accomplice entered the BBVA Compass bank across the street, police said. The department also released a photo of that man.
Anyone who recognizes the men should call 817-984-0322, police said.
