Woman robbed, shot in the back while in car with 3-year-old, Fort Worth police say

A 27-year-old woman was shot in the back as she was complying with a robber Friday night in Fort Worth, police said.

Teamri Timmons was fired on at about 10 p.m., as she and her 3-year-old son arrived in a vehicle at a house in the 7300 block of Marrs Drive, Fort Worth police said.

An assailant approached and demanded Timmons’ belongings, police said. He left with her wallet.

After she was shot, Timmons called out for help and honked a horn. Her mother, who was inside a house close by, came out to help her inside.

Timmons was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, although they are not life-threatening, authorities said.

Police had not announced an arrest as of Saturday night.
