About 10 minutes apart, two people are shot separately in Fort Worth, authorities say

Two people suffered minor injuries Friday when they were shot by the same suspect during robbery attempts at separate locations in Fort Worth about 10 minutes apart, authorities said.

The first victim was shot in the abdomen about 4:45 p.m. in the 5400 block of Overton Ridge Blvd., police said. The second was shot in the hand in the 3700 block of Cibolo Drive.

The Overton Ridge Boulevard victim told police that he was trying to sell something on social media and the males that showed up attempted to rob him. The victim said he struggled with a gun and in the process received a non life-threatening gunshot wound.

The Cibolo Drive victim told police he was shot when the same suspect attempted to rob him. His injuries are also not life-threatening, police said.

Both victims, whose names and ages police did not release, were taken to a hospital.

Police had not announced the suspect’s arrest late Friday.
