A man in Fort Worth was stabbed in the head by a woman he was assaulting on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

The incident happened just before 3 p.m. at Heather Village Apartments, in the 6000 block of Woodthrush Drive in east Fort Worth.

As the woman was being assaulted and choked by the man, she defended herself by stabbing him in the head, Officer Buddy Calzada said.

The man, who has not yet been identified publicly, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He’ll be arrested once he’s released, Calzada said.

The man and woman have a child together, police said.
