Former local youth baseball coach one of two people accused of sexual abuse of child
A former North Texas youth baseball coach is one of two people arrested by the Southlake Police Department in an investigation of sexual abuse of a child.
Indalecio Esquivel, 59, is charged with sexual performance by a child, according to jail booking reports. He was released on bond after turning himself in on Tuesday, records show.
Mandy K. Anderson, 47, also turned herself in as a result of the police department’s investigation, Southlake police said in a news release. She’s charged with sexual assault of a child, the department said.
Police began their investigation after receiving a report about possible abuse in February, according to the news release.
At this point in the investigation, there is no evidence that there are any additional victims, police said.
A representative with the Dallas Raiders Baseball Club told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that Esquivel was a coach for the organization but is no longer affiliated with the club.
No other information is being released, police said.
