2 arrested after robbery leads to shots fired in Fort Worth

Two people who police say used a stolen gun to commit a robbery in early April have been arrested.

Just before 1 p.m. on April 7, police were sent to the 9000 block of Image Circle regarding a shots-fired call. A neighbor reporting hearing gunshots near her home, police said in a news release on Tuesday.

Five officers responded to the scene. After setting up a perimeter, they found the two suspects identified as Matthew Griffin, 33, and Adonis Johnson, 38, police said. They were both arrested on a charge of aggravated robbery.

Johnson was out of jail on bond on a separate aggravated robbery charge, police said.

Griffin was given a $25,000 bond and is still jailed. Johnson posted a $25,000 bond and has been released from jail, according to records.

Police found a gun on the men that was reported stolen out of Denton County, the release said.
