18-year-old shot in the back in Fort Worth, police searching for suspect
An 18-year-old man was shot in the back in Fort Worth on Tuesday night, police said.
At about 8:05 p.m., police received a call that a teen had been shot and was at a house in east Fort Worth. Police roped off the house with crime scene tape in the 3000 block of Avenue K.
The teen was taken to a hospital and told police the shooting happened somewhere in south Fort Worth, police said.
At 8:50 p.m., multiple police cars and officers stood outside the house, which is about five blocks south of Texas Wesleyan University. A group of people stood in the yard, talking. One of them, who did not want to be named, said the teen was brought to the house for help.
As of 9 p.m., police were still searching for suspects in the shooting.
