Watch: Milk truck careens off highway in Grand Prairie

A tanker truck carrying milk crashed onto a ramp on Interstate 30 in Grand Prairie on Tuesday morning, police said.

The driver fell asleep at the wheel, causing the truck to careen off the road and off the ramp near MacArthur Boulevard, police said. The driver faces a charge of failure to maintain control of a vehicle.

The driver was released from the hospital Tuesday afternoon with minor injuries.

Grand Prairie fire department crews cleared the oil spilled from the tanker.

The ramp was reopened at about 2 p.m., police said.
