Same thief sought in robberies of at least 5 cellphone stores in North Texas

Police are seeking a suspect in five armed robberies of cellphone stores in Arlington.

Police said a Hispanic man wearing a black and gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a bandana covering his face has robbed at least five cellphone stores.

The first armed robbery occurred on Nov. 14, police said, when the man walked into Boost Mobile at 3200 Cooper St. displaying a knife.

In two more robberies, the man, who is about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds, also threatened employees with a knife, police said.

In the next two robberies, the man threatened employees with a gun, police said.

The date of the five robberies and their location are:

  • 11/14/2018 - Boost Mobile at 3200 S. Cooper St.
  • 11/19/2018 – Metro PCS at 8021 Matlock Rd.
  • 11/20/2018 – Boost Mobile at 3200 S. Cooper St.
  • 11/24/2018 – Boost Mobile at 5975 S. Cooper St.
  • 12/06/2018 – Boost Mobile at 2418 S. Collins St

According to police, the man may be responsible for other similar robberies in the North Texas area.
