Fort Worth police seeking car break-in suspect from ‘must-see video’
Fort Worth police were seeking the suspect of a car break-in over the weekend that was caught on surveillance video.
On Tuesday, police posted footage from Saturday night on their Facebook page that appears to show a white man breaking into a car parked in a driveway. Police said the car was on Goldrock Drive in north Fort Worth.
In the video, a man uses a pry tool to push out the passenger side window. He then removes the entire window and leans into the car, presumably looking for valuables, police said. A dog can be heard barking in the background.
As the man reaches into the car, the car’s alarm system goes off. The man runs to a waiting vehicle and jumps into the passenger seat.
“The dog barking in the background. The pry tool to break into a vehicle. The car alarm ‘scaring’ the thief. Must see video,” Fort Worth police say in the post.
Similar vehicle burglaries were reported in the same area on Saturday night, police said.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect can call police at 817-392-3183.
