Detectives investigating ‘Liquor City murder’ after store owner killed in Lewisville

The owner of a liquor store in Lewisville was fatally shot during a robbery on Monday night, police said.

Suresh Shah, 46, was found dead at Liquor City after police received reports that a person had been shot. Shah was working the late shift Monday night.

He had been shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said. Shah lived in Little Elm, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner.

Detectives at the scene found evidence that someone had robbed the store at 290 East Corporate Drive. As of Wednesday, they were still investigating.
