FORT WORTH Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man Friday.
Police were dispatched to a call at East Lancaster Avenue and Chester Street shortly before 5 p.m. The victim, identified in a police report as Bobby Ray Bolton, was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth and was pronounced dead from his injuries.
Homicide Sgt. Joe Loughman said Bolton sometimes stayed at the homeless shelters.
He said investigators believe the victim and the suspect had a verbal altercation that turned physical, leading to the fatal injuries.

No arrests have been made, and the case remains under investigation, Loughman said.
