Volunteer firefighters accused of sex assault in Ellis County
Five volunteer firefighters face charges of aggravated sexual assault and a woman is accused of recording the January episode with her cellphone, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety arrest affidavit released Tuesday.
During the apparent hazing, a male was assaulted with a broomstick and a sausage at an Ellis County volunteer fire station southwest of Waxahachie while firefighters looked on, laughing and yelling, according to the affidavit.
The suspects were identified as Alec Miller, 28, of Waxahachie; Casey Stafford, 30, of Midlothian; Keith Wisakowsky, 26, of Waxahachie; Preston Peyrot, 19, of Waxahachie; and Blake Tucker, 19, of Midlothian.
DPS Sgt. Lonny Haschel said the woman, Brittany Parten, 23, of Waxahachie faces charges of improper photography or visual recording. She is not a firefighter, officials said.
All were arrested Monday night. Several had bonded out of jail by Tuesday afternoon.
The Texas Rangers began their investigation March 31, when the male reported the assault to a deputy with the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department. The Rangers started the investigation at the request of the Ellis County district attorney’s office.
The male told the deputy that he had been sexually assaulted Jan. 20 at the Ellis County Emergency Service District No. 6 volunteer fire station at 1816 Farm Road 66.
The affidavit says the male was bent over a couch and held there, facedown, for the assault.
The male threw up after he was released and crawled to the bathroom, according to the affidavit. While he showered, someone took his clothes.
He exited the bathroom wearing only a towel, but Tucker took that away, the affidavit says. The male ran out of the building to his vehicle and got some shorts.
After the assault was reported last week, Texas Ranger Adam Sweaney received the cellphone video, according to the affidavit.
