Fort Worth woman accused in random stabbing
A 44-year-old woman was arrested Thursday morning after police say she randomly stabbed a roofer in the neck at a Fort Worth motel.
Police were dispatched shortly after 11 a.m. to the Ace Motel at 3105 S. Riverside Drive and arrested Shawnderlynn M. Pellerin.
Officer Natosha Tucker, a police spokeswoman, said Pellerin did not know the victim.
“She, in fact, was not even a resident at the motel and just randomly selected him to be her victim,” Tucker said in an email.
The roofer was treated at the scene by MedStar paramedics, Tucker said.
Tarrant County records show that Pellerin pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the 1991 stabbing of a woman in Fort Worth. She received five years of deferred-adjudication probation, records show.
