Some advice to burglars: stealing a security camera may not lead to the picture-perfect crime you had in mind.

Fort Worth police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a thief caught on video stealing a security camera outside a northwest Fort Worth daycare earlier this month.

The video, recorded March 12 outside the Luv N Care Day Care at 4451 Boat Club Road, shows a car, possibly the suspect’s, driving around the daycare’s parking lot before driving out of the camera’s range.

Suddenly, a hand appears on the video, evidently trying to remove the camera. The thief is soon successful in his efforts, but not before the spiraling camera captures his face and what looks to be some distinctive arm tattoos.

According to the police report, a pot in front of the business had been dug through, indicating the thief may have also been looking for a hidden key to the business.
