Fort Worth police seek help identifying motorist in fatal wreck
Homicide detectives appealed for help Tuesday finding those believed involved in a hit-and-run incident that left a Fort Worth man dead last week.
Police on Tuesday released a surveillance video of multiple men and women leaving the Cabaret North before 28-year-old Danny Prathoumvanh was hit by a vehicle in the strip club’s parking lot at 5316 Superior Parkway.
Police say some of those seen in the video are believed to be associated with a 1990s to early 2000s model maroon or red Ford Explorer that struck Prathoumvanh.
Prathoumvanh, who was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, died the next morning from his injuries.
That homicide detectives are handling the case indicates that investigators believe Prathoumvanh was intentionally hit.
Others in the video, police said, are believed to be associated with a 2000 model silver or white Ford Expedition.
Homicide Sgt. Joe Loughman said occupants of the Expedition had been observed speaking to occupants of the Explorer and may know their identities.
Homicide Detective Kyle Sullivan said one of the men in the video — seen wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey — may have some type of physical disability.
“After reviewing all video evidence, it appears the man has limited use of his right hand and may walk with a limp,” Sullivan said.
Loughman said that before the incident, Prathoumvanh had been involved in a verbal altercation with someone inside the club.
Anyone with information on the case or the identity of the suspects should call Fort Worth police at 817-392-4340.
