Alvarado grandfather mourns loss of granddaughter, grandchildren
In an instant, Leonard Abshire lost two precious great-grandchildren and the granddaughter he raised.
“I loved them to death,” Abshire said. “Their parents couldn't have loved them more than I did.”
Twenty-two-year-old Miranda Abshire, 22, and her sons, 5-year-old Adrian and 2-year-old Cruz, were killed early Sunday when a man driving a truck the wrong way on U.S. 67 in Alvarado crashed into her car. See story at WFAA.com.
