After a storm knocked down a fence Friday night, members of the law enforcement community came Saturday morning with hammers, ready to help the family of their fallen comrade.

Mark Dahl, 54, died in a motorcycle wreck on at Interstate Highway 635 in Irving Friday morning. He was a 19-year veteran at Irving and was also a Marine Corps veteran.

The Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas and the Irving Police Association brought the supplies.

Family and friends, along with members from the Irving, Garland and Dallas police departments, provided the manpower.
