Texas Health Huguley kicks off open house today
After months of anticipation, Texas Health Huguley gets to show off.
Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South kicks off its open house 4-7 p.m. Sunday. The hospital asks that people RSVP at http://yournewhuguley.com/. The 230,000 square foot building will officially open next month after breaking ground in 2014.
“This new hospital will support our community’s growth, our patients’ needs and advances in medical technology. We believe it is an important step in enhancing our patients’ experience with us and continuing to deliver the highest level of personalized care,” president and CEO Ken Finch said in a press release.
At Sunday’s open house, the hospital promises tours of the new facility, refreshments, music and “fun activities.”
Officials said the current tower “will have space for a possible expansion of behavioral health services as well as physician and administrative offices.”
Some new features are new wireless technology in patient rooms. A 42-inch Smart TV lets patients watch movies but also displays information about the employees who enter the patients’ rooms. The second through fifth floors hold 140 beds, with the sixth floor topping off another 36 beds when it is completed.
