KHVN/970 AM, a contemporary gospel radio station, is generally known as an uplifting place. But the station became the scene of something less peaceful on Monday afternoon as a “verbal altercation” broke out between Dallas County commissioner candidates John Wiley Price and Dwaine Caraway, WFAA/Channel 8 reports.

According to WFAA, the candidates -- as well as another candidate, Micah B. Phillips -- were at the station to talk about their campaigns. News director Robert Ashley told WFAA that during a commercial break, things escalated between Price and Caraway and police were called.

Phillips, meanwhile, filmed the altercation. The Dallas Morning News posted the video on YouTube. Much bleeping, including of expletives and an allegation involving a third party, ensues.

“What is wrong with y’all ... This is a gospel radio station,” a woman can be heard saying in the video.

Caraway told Channel 8 that Price assaulted someone at the station, but did not give additional comment. Pricve was not yet available for comment.
