Fort Worth police recover man's body from Trinity River downtown near TCC campus
Fort Worth police are investigating after a man’s body was found in the Trinity River downtown on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
Officers with the department’s central division were dispatched to an investigation call at 245 E. Belknap St. around 3:20 p.m., according to a statement.
While patrolling along the river near Tarrant County College’s Trinity River Campus, TCC campus police found the body of an adult man in the river and notified Fort Worth police and the Fire Department.
There were no signs of trauma or foul play, and homicide detectives are investigating, police said.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased and release the cause and manner of his death after an autopsy.
