Driver killed in fiery single-vehicle crash early Friday in Saginaw

A driver was killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash early Friday in Saginaw, according to a statement from the Saginaw Police Department.

Saginaw police, fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene in the eastbound lanes of Loop 820 at Blue Mound Road about 3 a.m. Friday, according to the news release. First responders found a vehicle on fire in the median and learned that the sole occupant had been pulled out by passersby.

EMS personnel attempted lifesaving measures, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office is assisting with the investigation and will identify the victim after his family has been notified.
