Looking for work in North Texas? Check out this job fair at Globe Life Field
A job fair in Arlington will bring hundreds of employers to Globe Life Field on Thursday, Aug. 7.
The annual North Texas Job Fair hosted by Rep. Beth Van Duyne, an Irving Republican, is being held at the stadium from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The fair will bring 500 employers with more than 33,000 openings for job seekers to pursue, according to Van Duyne’s office. The jobs — one-third of which offer six-figure salaries — are across numerous industries and range from entry level to executive positions, Van Duyne’s office said in a news release.
“There’s definitely something for everyone at this job fair,” Van Duyne said in an interview.
There will also be constituent service booths and veteran organizations attending that offer services like technical education, employment training and services for those who are homeless.
Some of the employers attending the event include American Airlines, AT&T, Bell, Cook Children’s Health Care System, DFW International Airport, JPS Health Network, Lockheed Martin and local universities and colleges, according to the event’s website.
“There’s going to be so many jobs that are going to be represented and offered that day,” Van Duyne said. “So, if they’re looking, they need to come out there. I think it’s also really reflective of the economic growth in our area in North Texas. How many businesses are moving here, and how they, once they get here, are just thriving and growing.”
The event is held in partnership with other North Texas elected officials and DFW-area chambers of commerce and local Workforce Solutions.
