Fatal crash shuts down North Texas highway near Westlake, Keller

A fatal crash closed a North Texas highway on Wednesday morning, according to the Town of Westlake.

The accident was reported about 4 a.m., when a truck flipped on Texas 114 between Trophy Club Drive and Davis Boulevard, Westlake officials wrote in a Facebook post.

Westbound lanes of Highway 114 were closed to traffic, the Texas Department of Transportation reported. As of about 7 a.m.., officials anticipated at least three hours of closure. All lanes had reopened as of 11:30 a.m.

First responders from Westlake Fire-EMS Department and Keller Public Safety were at the scene of the crash this morning.

Westlake officials stated that eastbound traffic was “backed all the way to Kimball in Southlake.” All exit ramps were backed up, they said.
