Restaurant development in Northeast Tarrant will be a ‘community destination’
An upcoming restaurant development in North Richland Hills will be a “year-round community destination,” the city announced on Wednesday.
The park — a venue with restaurants and a large outdoor area — will be at the northwest corner of Davis Boulevard and Lola Drive.
It will include two Dallas-based restaurants, Jakes Burgers and Tacos & Avocados, two full bars in each restaurant, outdoor seating and a green space with play areas.
Each restaurant will be between 4,000 and 5,000 square feet, and the “backyard area” will be one acre.
The project was spearheaded by Dallas-based MAD Concepts Group, alongside the city of North Richland Hills and Dallas-based developer Blue Plate Network.
The developers aim for the project to be a destination for residents.
“We are developing two high-quality restaurants with an engaging yard that will serve as an energized gathering place year-round,” Carter Wilson, founder of Blue Plate Network said in the release.
The city said the restaurant park was “a top request from residents.”
The development will be the first location for both restaurants in North Richland Hills. The project was funded without property tax dollars and is still awaiting zoning approval.
