3-year-old girl dies after being pulled from Eagle Mountain Lake, sheriff says

A 3-year-old girl died after being pulled from Eagle Mountain Lake on Wednesday afternoon, officials with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Deputies responded to a call about a possible drowning at the West Bay Marina in the 6900 block of Liberty School Tap Road near Azle about 4:30 p.m. June 4, according to the statement. They found the girl unconscious on the ground with two bystanders performing CPR.

The child was taken to a hospital, where she later died, officials said. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has since identified the girl as Dahlia Bingham and will determine her cause of death.

Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office investigators are working to determine how the child ended up in the water, according to the statement.
