Three arrested in roadside assault of teenage girl from Azle, police say
Three people, two of them juveniles, have been arrested in connection with the roadside assault of a teenage girl from Azle, according to officials with the Reno Police Department.
Austin James Fought, 17, was arrested Thursday on four felony counts related to the assault, according to Parker County jail records.
Fought’s charges include aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, assault of a family member impeding breath or circulation, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, according to the records.
Another person, a juvenile, was also arrested Thursday and charged with robbery, criminal conspiracy, family violence and aggravated assault, according to a post on the police department’s Facebook page.
A second juvenile was arrested May 6 and faces similar charges in the case, according to an earlier statement from Reno police.
The three suspects are accused of taking part in the assault of a 16-year-old girl who had recently suffered a miscarriage, her family told the Star-Telegram.
The girl, whose family identified her as Lily, was driven by a group of teens to a remote location on the night of May 3, where her ex-boyfriend then hit her, choked her and threw her from a moving vehicle, Reno police have said. Other teens in the group recorded video of the assault, according to the victim’s family.
