Three Tarrant County restaurants were closed after the county’s latest round of health inspections, with one of the closures due to a rodent infestation, according to the inspection report.

The report contains data from Feb. 23 through March 8 and 428 inspections.

Tarrant County’s inspections function on a demerit system: a score of 100 is considered perfect, and a score of 70 is considered to be extremely poor.

Three restaurants were closed:

  1. Himalayan Mart 1, 501 N. Saginaw Blvd. in Saginaw, had a score of 79. The establishment was ordered to close due to sanitation and plumbing issues and must remain closed until the issues are fixed.
  2. Subway, 429 Bedford Road in Bedford, had a score of 83. The restaurant was closed due to a rodent infestation. Rodent feces and urine were found in cabinets, on shelves, under equipment, on utensils, behind the soda fountain and in the walkways.
  3. Wingstop, 520 S. Saginaw Blvd. in Saginaw, had a score of 90. The restaurant voluntarily closed due to a ventilation issue.

Rodent activity was observed at these five restaurants:

  1. Himalayan Mart 1, 501 N. Saginaw Blvd., Saginaw, TX 76179, Score: 79
  2. Busy Bs Bakery And Donuts, 3919 Colleyville Blvd. B, Colleyville, TX 76034, Score: 88
  3. Afrimart, 425 W. Bedford Euless Road, Hurst, TX 76053, Score: 94
  4. Saginaw High School, 800 N. Blue Mound, Saginaw, TX 76179, Score: 95
