One Plano restaurant was closed for “gross insanitary conditions,” and roaches were found at other establishments, according to a copy of the city’s most recent restaurant inspection report.

The report contains data from Feb. 2 to Feb. 22 and 269 inspections.

Simply Veg, located at 9720 Coit Road in Plano, scored a 64 and was ordered to close due to what officials called “gross insanitary conditions,” according to the report. Inspectors also found roaches at this location.

Five restaurants scored below an 80:

  1. Simply Veg, located at 9720 Coit Road scored a 64
  2. Donut Palace, located at 3611 14th St. scored a 78
  3. Sankalp, located at 3680 State Highway 121, scored a 78
  4. Madurai Thattu Kadai, located at 3829 W Spring Creek Pkwy, scored a 79

Inspectors found roaches in multiple inspections at three restaurants:

  1. Simply Veg, located at 9720 Coit Road
  2. Butterfly Cakery, located at 1201 E Spring Creek Pkwy
  3. Quiktrip #892, located at 1100 E Spring Creek Pkwy

51 restaurants underwent follow-up inspections.
