DPS officials seeking man in connection with Hood County homicide
Three people have been arrested and officers with the Texas Department of Public Safety are seeking another person in connection with the slaying of a Hood County father, officials said.
The three suspects were identified in a DPS statement as 17-year-old Alex Cisneros, 20-year-old Gabriel Issac Ocanas, and a 16-year-old boy.
All three were charged with capital murder, according to the statement. Police are still seeking 18-year-old Angel Ralph Morales.
Morales was last known to have lived in Palmer, Texas, and is considered to be armed and dangerous, DPS officials said.
The victim was identified by his family as 20-year-old Billy Sheffield IV, according to posts on social media and a GoFundMe account for funeral expenses.
Sheffield was shot Feb. 12 at his grandmother’s home, a family friend wrote on GoFundMe. He was the father of a 1-year-old daughter.
DPS officials urge anyone with information about Morales to contact CrimeStoppers at 972-937-PAYS. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to Morales’ arrest.
