2 Plano restaurants ordered closed; dead rodents found in recent health inspections
Two Plano food establishments were ordered to close and another ordered to sell prepackaged foods only, after failing recent health inspections, according to a new report.
The report from Plano health inspectors contains data from 212 inspections conducted Jan. 12 to Feb. 1. Plano’s reports score restaurants on a 100-point system, with 100 considered perfect and 70 considered extremely poor.
Inspectors found dead rodents and rodent droppings in multiple food-service areas during a follow-up investigation at a Shell gas station on 14th Street, according to the report.
The station’s food establishment permit was revoked and business operations ordered to cease, the report states.
The El Patron Restaurant and Bar, located at 2520 K Avenue, was also ordered to close due to a lack of adequate refrigeration and sewage disposal, according to the report.
Inspectors also ordered a QuikTrip location to sell only prepackaged food until a hot water problem at the store could be fixed, the report states.
