A former Dallas Cowboys defensive end was arrested at the scene of a multi-vehicle accident in South Carolina on Friday morning, according to the Post and Courier newspaper.

Robert Quinn — who played for the Cowboys during the 2019 season before moving on to the Chicago Bears — was arrested after trying to flee the scene of the accident, police said.

Police in North Charleston responded to a car dealership around 2 a.m. after receiving reports of a collision involving a red truck, according to KDFW.

The truck, later found to be Quinn’s, had collided with vehicles parked in the dealership’s lot, causing a chain-reaction accident, according to South Carolina’s Live 5 News.

Quinn’s F-150 collided with a Honda Element that then collided with another F-150, police said. The second F-150 then collided with a purple Chrysler 300.

Crews with the fire department arrived first and told police that the suspect was trying to leave the scene of the crash in a white Dodge Challenger.

The driver of the Challenger told police Quinn had called her to come pick him up, according to a police report.

The woman said she met Quinn at an adult entertainment club he had left just before the accident, according to the Post and Courier.

The incident makes for the second time in two years that Quinn has been charged in relation to a car accident: He was arrested in 2023 after ramming a pickup truck into four vehicles and smacking a woman before fleeing, according to the Post and Courier.

Quinn was charged with third-degree assault, hit-and-run of an attended vehicle, four counts of hit-and-run property damage and one count of striking fixtures adjacent to a highway.
