One dead in apparent homicide Friday in Fort Worth, police say

One person was killed in an apparent homicide Friday, officials with the Fort Worth Police Department said.

Officers responded to the scene in the 3100 block of Canberra Court after receiving a report of shots fired, police said.

Upon arrival, officers located a deceased victim with gunshot wounds to his torso, officials said.

The shooting is still under investigation, and details are limited at this time.

The deceased will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office once family has been notified.
