A Dallas-based residential builder plans to begin selling homes in a new Granbury subdivision early next year.

Pirate Village, the latest project from national homebuilding firm Landsea, will offer 72 three-to-five bedroom homes ranging from 1,455 to 2,870 square feet in size. The company has yet to share how much the properties will cost.

The community-in-waiting sits roughly 5 miles east of Granbury’s town square and about 35 miles southwest of downtown Fort Worth.

Granbury’s charm and relative proximity to Cowtown has attracted thousands hoping to escape the hustle of the Metroplex’s urban core. Home prices in and around the Hood County seat have jumped as a result.

Landsea has built out more than a dozen communities across DFW, most concentrated along the borders of Tarrant, Johnson and Hood counties. The company also owns two subdivisions in different phases of development on Granbury’s northern outskirts.
