A Lake Worth police officer was hospitalized after being in a car accident Thursday, according to police.

The officer’s vehicle was struck head-on in the intersection of Jacksboro Highway and Paul Meador Drive while responding to an in-progress call, police said in a post on X.

The other driver involved also sustained injuries. Both the officer and the other driver were taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Police said they will provide updates as they become available.
