Four people were injured Saturday after an elevator gondola on the side of a cliff at Eagle Mountain Lake crashed as it was taking them to the lake, according to a report from Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV.

Tarrant County Sheriff’s deputies were called at around noon Saturday to the 8300 block of Samora Court, near Eagle Mountain Lake, to assist paramedics responding to the scene.

Eagle Mountain Lake is about 17 miles northwest of Fort Worth.

Briar-Reno Fire Chief Moses Druxman told WFAA that four people on the gondola fell about 25 feet.

They were all taken to hospitals; their injuries were not life-threatening, WFAA reported.

According to the initial investigation, a cable on the gondola broke and led to the fall, deputies told WFAA.
