A statewide Texas Amber Alert has been canceled after a 13-year-old girl who disappeared from Houston early Wednesday was found, officials said.

The teen is safe, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said in a social media post.

“Appreciate the strong work of our team and public safety partners,” Gonzalez posted. “Also grateful for you, our community members, for sharing information.”

The 13-year-old disappeared around 1 a.m. from the 16900 block of Sunshine Street, according to the alert. She was with an unknown adult man and was believed to be in danger, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post.

No description was given of the suspect or suspect vehicle.

Anyone with information about the teen’s whereabouts was asked to call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-755-7427.
