California-based pizza chain opens second area location in north Fort Worth shopping plaza
A second location of Mountain Mike’s Pizza in Fort Worth has opened giving the California-based chain its third restaurant in Texas. The 2,500-square-foot pizza joint is at 6932 N Blue Mound Rd. in the Victory Shops at Basswood near Saginaw.
The company announced the new restaurant is owned by first-time Mountain Mike’s franchisees Ramein Gerami and Min Chang, and is part of a three-store deal for the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
“We’ve seen how welcoming Texas has been to Mountain Mike’s Pizza and know the reception in Saginaw will continue that excitement and momentum,” Gerami said in a press release. “We are so proud to represent a company like Mountain Mike’s that puts community first, and know its unmatched family-friendly experience will be instantly and eagerly well-received by the Fort Worth community.”
From its legendary crispy, curly pepperoni, 100% whole milk mozzarella cheese and a variety of specialty pizzas, Mountain Mike’s has something to satisfy every taste, the company says. The new restaurant has 7 big screen televisions for the sports fans and a 600-square-foot patio for al fresco dining. An all-you-can-eat pizza and salad lunch buffet is available. Domestic and craft beers are on tap as well as a variety of wines. An arcade area is also available for young guests.
It opened its first restaurant in 1978 in Palo Alto, California. The pizza chain prides itself in serving “Pizza the Way it Oughta Be!”

There are now over 300 Mountain Mike’s Pizza restaurants across the Western U.S. including California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Idaho, Texas, Colorado, Washington and Wisconsin.
